January 1. The snow is drifting. This picture is taken with the ruler half way up a drift. The snow is still coming down. It's supposed to be sunny tomorrow and the rest of the week
January 1 - Well, we've got electricity now! We're watching the Tournament of Roses Parade. And there's a dragon. I love dragons.

January 18 - Cute puppies are getting bigger. Not our puppies but they always greet us enthusiastically when they see us. They belong to a neighbor.

January 28 - More snow from last night. We got a couple of inches. Taos got only a dusting.

January 28 - Me and Bert at one of our favorite restaurants in Taos. His birthday is tomorrow but we are celebrating it today.
January31 - Puppies are getting even bigger! Again, not our puppies. I think they are about 8 months old.
January 17 - This restaurant has been sold. Sad. We used to go here often. Some time ago it was a restaurant and lounge. I used to go to the bar there. They had music and bands back in the early 2000s. Now it will become a store that sells mattresses, bedding and other household items.
February 2 - Ten and a half hours later, still snowing. It's supposed to stop at 11 PM or so. And it's supposed to be at least partly sunny tomorrow.

February 25 - A ring of light around the sun in Taos near the post office.
Above and below: February 25 - Up at the Taos Ski Valley because we decided to drive up there today. It's only of the bottom portion of the ski valley. We don't go up the lifts. We did ride on the cool gondola from one portion of the resort to another portion. I didn't take any pictures of us on the gondola.
March 7 - Snow in Taos. And there's a cool pond!

March 9 - The first flowers we've seen of the season. They are yellow crocuses.
March 1 - Adorable Brazil flip-flop keyring I received from my great, great niece-in-law a few days ago. Something like that. She is married to my niece's grandson. She's from Brazil.
March 17 - It's snowing. Can't even see the mountains. "It's not fit out there for man nor beast." Well, WC Fields said something like that. It's cold too. 35 degree high today. Brrrrr...
March 21. Second day of spring and it's snowing. It's slushy snow and I can't even see the small extinct volcano - Two Peaks - to the north-east of us. It's about 38 degrees.
March 25 - This is at the Overland Ranch in Taos.

March 27 - We're chatting with our darling daughter Erica! And there's us in the lower corner of the screen.
March 28 - We are eating out at El Monte Segrado. We're celebrating.
A friend asked: What are you celebrating? I said: We're celebrating being alive and healthy.
March 30 - Lovely sunset clouds tonight.
April 1 - Our car odometer yesterday. Ha ha ha. I know. I should have cleaned the plastic but I noticed it when I was driving. And I don't think that 6666, or any derivation thereof, is evil. Just as I don't believe in heaven or hell. Although I might mention heaven on occasion.
April 8 - Our two cats. Pumpkin will be 10 in July. Sparky will be 16 in May. I took these pictures today.
April 10 - Me at the Taos Ski Valley Resort at the portion near the Bavarian Restaurant at 10,200 feet elevation. You can see some videos I made of this event on my Facebook.
April 20 - it's smoky out there! Not so bad as to have to wear N95 masks or anything but we can hardly see the mountains. There are 5 fires in New Mexico.
April 22 - Beautiful flowers at our spa.
April 22 - Smoke. Yes that is billowing smoke from a forest fire. To the south east of us. There are at least five forest fires in New Mexico.
April 23. No billowing smoke today. Just a grayish brown haze off in the distance. There are more forest fires, though, in New Mexico. We still have wind, but not as bad as yesterday.
April 29 - A dozen red roses as an early birthday gift. And a few other hidden flowers.
May 1 - The worst forest fire / wildfire in the United States is 65 miles from us! We are getting the smoke. Lots of smoke! We can hardly see the mountains from our front yard! The first picture is looking to the south east the second picture is looking to the east. The mountains are supposed to be seen there to the east!
May 2 - Smoke from the fires in the distance. This huge fire is about 65 miles from us. It's the largest fire in the USA now and it's growing. 120,000 acres! People are being evacuated. (Note from the Future, June 1, It's up to 315,830 acres.) There are lots of fire fighters from other states fighting this fire.
May 2 - Not a birthday cake and no candles but these are no-sugar, no-flour little desserts that go along with our Atkins Keto diet. Happy birthday to me. They were delicious. We should have gotten more! We did get more later in the week.
May 2 - Me, some flowers and my new hand fans around my birthday. I like hand fans. And I like flowers. I had a great birthday weekend and so on!
May 11 - Still burning. Pic taken by me just a few minutes ago.
MMay 13 - On the Rio Grande Gorge bridge with the smoke from the fires in the background. Bert's brother and sister are visiting and we've been spending time with them. Not taking any phone calls. Maybe tomorrow.
May 14 - Me and my husband Bert met his biological half brother and sister in person for the first time a few days ago. He was adopted as a baby. They have the same mother, but he has a different father. We connected with them earlier this year. We found them by way of ancestry. They are really nice, of course. Here is me and Bert with them this morning They came down to Taos for several days. We had a great time and they even like me! Here we are.

May 15 - Red sun this morning because of the smoke from the forest fires. It smells nasty out there. WE. NEED. RAIN.
May 16 - Pretty New Mexico high desert flowers.
May 23 - Mountain Bluebird this morning. It's a bird and it's blue. He and his mate have taken up residence in the eves above our porch. We can now hear the baby birds chirping when the mom brings them food. Cute!

May 25 - We had a teeny tiny bit of snow in our area last night and it's COLD out there this morning. This is a piece of painted wood. I swiped my finger across to show the "depth" of the snow. Hee hee.
