I love this one.
This one was right at the maximum coverage that we saw at our home near Taos, New Mexico.
I took these photos of the solar eclipse. The sun was not green; the sky was not black. I used a welding filter as a filter with my camera.
August 23 - Here I am holding the filter part of a welding mask that I used to view and take pictures of the solar eclipse. "The only ones that are safe for direct viewing of the Sun with your eyes are those of Shade 12 or higher." ~ from https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/safety . . . DO NOT LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE SUN WHETHER IN ECLIPSE OR NOT! Remember this if you are thinking of doing this for the 2024 solar eclipse.
Of course, if you want to see more videos of the solar eclipse from August of 2017 just do a search in YouTube. There are lots of them! Above are two short ones I decided to put on this page. There is another one happening in April of 2024. Check it out!
