I took this picture because I thought it was cool looking at this lovely stream and beautiful plants growing with purple flowers in northern New Mexico - a very peaceful place.
This one has mountains too!
The Rio Grande Gorge Bridge goes over the Rio Grande Gorge north-west of Taos New Mexico. It's about a 680 foot drop from the bridge to the river.
Some have called this the mini Grand Canyon.

Me Messing Around Along Kit Carson Road in Taos New Mexico
In the Rio Pueblo Gorge with me, a wrecked car, a butterfly and a bug
Went for a walk in the Rio Pueblo Gorge; took pictures of the beautiful scenery.
Cute bug. This is for real. This little guy was walking across our path during our walk into the Rio Pueblo Gorge. I had to take it's picture. I've never seen anything like it. This picture has not been touched up or changed at all in PhotoShop or anything. It's the real thing.
It's got six legs so it's not a spider. It's about 1/2 inch long. It didn't hop or fly, it just walked. Picture taken by me on October 19, 2008.
Addendum from like 2012: This type of bug is called a Jerusalem Cricket or Children of the Earth. Pretty cool. A friend of mine captured one and a friend of hers told us what the name is. Somebody said they are poisonous, but they are not. They must be very rare since the one my friend had captured is only the third one I've seen in my entire life.
October 19 - Butterfly among rocks.
Old car down in a gully with zero eight painted on it. Plus note the rock with 2008 - upper right.
